First Snowstorm in Ontario

Our first Ontario snowstorm was impressive. I thought everyone was being dramatic when they said the Ottawa area gets a lot of snow... I figured, "We're in Canada. It snows here. Whatever." But this was interior mountain-town levels of snow which is great, unless you have to drive in it...

Unfortunately, I didn't make it out this morning. I had planned to attend a local small business networking meeting, and Josh had to get to a lab at the university. His lab was definitely our priority so after we got the Kia stuck, he took the Sierra and I stayed home to work.

Now we are trying to figure out what the most cost-effective method for clearing the driveway will be and how to get organized so that we can be a one car household.

This has been the theme of our Ontario adventure so far - figure out how to solve a new problem we hadn't anticipated. Each day we have more questions and then more answers. We learn as we go.

The farm has also been incredibly calming so far, and we have a deer friend who comes in the mornings to eat the apples that have fallen from the tree outside the window and a squirrel who nests outside our chimney.
